Tania Augusto was elected as the Industry Chair of the GI WACAF Project during the last steering committee meeting in December 2024. Tania has worked with ExxonMobil for 19 years: prior to becoming Regional Emergency Preparedness and Response Advisor, she was Environmental and Regulatory Advisor, Emergency Preparedness and Response Safety Supervisor, and Senior Emergency Preparedness and Response Advisor. Since 2017, she has been a member of the regional response team for Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Tania was appointed Industry Vice-Chair of GI WACAF project in 2023. Tania has shown an enduring commitment to the GI WACAF Project, and we look forward to working with her to continue implementing the Project's objectives.
She takes over from Andrew Tucker, whom we would like to thank for his commitment and guidance, and whom we are pleased to keep heavily engaged in the project, since he will remain on the strategic committee as industry vice-chair along with Joel Conwell.
