Marine Laigle is replacing Rim Al Amir as GI WACAF Project Coordinator. Previously, Marine worked with the Regional Partnership for Coastal and Marine Conservation (PRCM), based in Dakar, as Project Capitalisation and Incubation Coordinator. For two years, she was involved in RESILAO, a call for projects for sustainable, resilient coastal ecosystems and a social and inclusive blue economy in West Africa.
Marine is delighted to join the GI WACAF Project and to continue working with African countries. She is looking forward to contributing to the implementation of the Project's work programme for 2025 and 2026, meeting the Project's partners during any of the upcoming activities and working together to achieve the objective of better preparedness and response to oil spills.
We would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of GI WACAF family , to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to Rim Al Amir for her dedication as GI WACAF project coordinator. Her work and energy have been instrumental during the last biennium and I am grateful for her efforts in organising activities, managing the communication aspects of the project and fostering collaboration among the members countries. I wish her the very best in her future endeavours.
