Objectives

  • Promote and build capacity for the ratification and implementation of the CLC, FUND, BUNKER and OPRC Conventions
  • Review actual cases of damage claims to provide information on compensation coverage by various instruments and how to develop and submit claims
  • Provide appropriate solutions regarding claims and development of national policies for effective compensation
  • Provide information on the role of organisations involved in liability and compensation, such as IOPC Funds, ITOPF and the P&I Clubs
