Objectives

  • Familiarise delegates with the contents and use of the revised National Oil Spill Contingency Plan through the execution of a table-top exercise, so it can be fully operational in case of emergency
  • Ensure that all stakeholders are familiar with their roles and responsibilities as members of the National Incident Management Team
  • Gain an understanding of the interface between the oil industry and the regulator during the management of a Tier 3 oil pollution incident
  • Promote discussions and the sharing of knowledge between the facilitators and the delegates
